I love appetizers and snacks in my air fryer. Some of my favorite appetizers include Air Fryer Tortilla Chips, Air Fryer Taquitos, and Air Fryer Mozzarella Sticks.

Pasta Chips

Pasta chips are relatively easy to make in the air fryer and they’re one of my favorite new recipes. You have to do a little work ahead of time, but after that, the air fryer makes quick work of this recipe. The first time I ever had pasta chips was in one of my favorite Louisiana restaurants. They served them with a hot, cheesy, spinach artichoke dip. After that, I was hooked. Not only that, but this was at one time one of the viral recipes from Tik Tok. If you’re ever looking for something unique, check all of the viral TikTok recipe options out there. You’ll be amazed at what people are making in their air fryers!

Why Should I Use The Air Fryer for Pasta Chips?

The air fryer uses a heating element and a fan that circulates the hot air around the foods you are cooking. Traditionally, if you were making fried pasta chips you would use a deep fryer and lots of oil. That means lots of fat and calories. With the air fryer, you are simply using circulating hot air which mimics the deep fried taste. It’s a win win situation when you are looking to eat with a healthier lifestyle. TIPS: To make this dish you will need to start off with cooked pasta. You can use your favorite pasta, but my favorite pasta for this recipe is farfalle pasta, which is also known as bow-tie pasta.

How to make pasta chips in the air fryer

NOTE: This recipe was made using a Cosori 5.8qt air fryer. If you’re using a different type or size air fryer this recipe may need to be slightly adjusted. Test a small batch of pasta chips in your air fryer to make sure the cooking time is perfect for your brand of the air fryer. Not all air fryers will cook the same. Always test a batch before cooking an entire batch. Due to the size of the Cosori 5.8qt basket, I was able to cook the 12 ounce package of pasta in 5 batches. This is such a fun recipe and makes a great snack. Check out more of my favorite tips and tricks below.

What pasta is best to use for pasta chips?

Honestly, any of your favorite pasta chips, whether it’s whole wheat, gluten-free pasta, or regular pasta. It’s all up to you and your favorite kinds of pasta.

What seasonings work best with this recipe?

I love using parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning. but you can use any of your favorite seasonings, including salt and ground black pepper.

How do I store leftover pasta chips?

Store leftover bow tie pasta chips in an airtight container in the refrigerator. To reheat, air fry the pasta chips for 1-2 minutes at 400 degrees F in a preheated air fryer. NOTE: Air fryer pasta chips are best eaten just after cooking. This is such a fun snack idea and one that I love to make when I am making my favorite game day dips.
